No payment is required during this period.

You can create and save maps and spots internationally, and they’ll remain stored in your account for life.

Why use WildlifePhotographer rather than Google Maps, when I can already put markers on it?

👉 It’s true: Google Maps lets you add markers… but WildlifePhotographer goes much further. It was specifically designed for wildlife photographers and naturalists.

Unlike Google Maps, WildlifePhotographer allows you to:
• Automatically create maps by species (deer, fox, badger, etc.)
• Mark not just locations, but also sightings, signs of presence, or hides
• Add detailed notes, such as observed behavior, conditions, or associated photos
• Monitor spot activity over time with color-coded analysis (green to red)
• Plan your outings according to rutting or birthing periods specific to each country
• Manage and track your photo traps, with location and status updates
• Access useful field data: GPS, altitude, weather, compass
• Set personalized notifications to return at the right time

👉 WildlifePhotographer is your digital field notebook, designed by and for wildlife enthusiasts, going far beyond simple landmarks.

Isn't there a risk that the app will disturb the wildlife or attract too many people to certain places?

👉 No, and that’s exactly why WildlifePhotographer was designed differently.
Unlike some public platforms, no spots are shared automatically. You are the only one who can view your maps, landmarks, and observations — unless you voluntarily choose to share them with a trusted person or organization.

Additionally, the app is built to promote responsible, ethical, and discreet wildlife photography — always with respect for the animals and their habitats.

👉 It was created by a wildlife photographer for photographers who want to observe without disturbing.

Does the app show me places to see animals directly?

👉 No, WildlifePhotographer is not a database of ready-made locations.
Instead, it allows you to create your own maps and mark your observations in the field.

By doing so, you build a personal database of observations, tailored to your experiences, region, and photography practice.
The goal is not to tell you where to go, but to help you better understand, follow, and organize your discoveries over time.

If the application doesn't show me the animals directly, what is it really for?

👉 WildlifePhotographer is not a nature tourism guide.
It’s a powerful tool designed specifically for wildlife photographers, naturalists, and nature enthusiasts.

Here’s how it helps you:
Organize your outings based on the right periods (rut, births, etc.)
Create your own observation maps, by species and location
• Keep a precise record of your sightings — spots, clues, behavior, and more
Monitor activity in each area with an algorithm that highlights the best places based on your personal data
Prepare your hides intelligently, at the right time and in the right place
Save time and optimize your efforts, outing after outing

👉 WildlifePhotographer is a reliable, discreet, and personal field tool, designed to help you become a better observer — and capture stronger images without disturbing the wildlife.

What do you mean by “spot” in the application?

👉 A “spot” is simply a personal landmark you mark on the map when you observe an animal or a sign of its presence (footprints, droppings, lair, etc.).
Each spot is geolocated and recorded on a map specific to the species observed (e.g., deer, fox, badger, etc.).

These spots gradually form your personal observation database, which you can continue to build with each outing.
Your data remains completely private unless you choose to share it.

Is my data shared?

👉 Never without your consent.
Your maps, spots, and notes are 100% private.
Sharing is completely optional and always under your control.

Why should I share my data or my spots with others?

👉 Sharing is 100% optional, but can be very useful in certain contexts.
You can choose to share a specific spot or an entire map with:
👥 Photographer friends (for teamwork)
🌱 Wildlife protection associations (for tracking, monitoring)
🦉 Research or counting projects

This enables better monitoring of certain species, facilitates collaboration on field actions, or simply allows you to exchange valuable information with other enthusiasts.

👉 You retain total control: nothing is shared without your consent.

What if hunters or ill-intentioned people use the app?

👉 This is a concern we fully understand.
That’s why no data is public by default, and sharing spots or maps is strictly limited to people who:

  • Have the app themselves

  • Are in your phone book (personal contacts only)

👉 It is not possible to share locations with strangers or the general public.

WildlifePhotographer is a private and secure tool designed for wildlife photographers who want to improve their spotting skills without ever compromising wildlife or sensitive locations.

We encourage ethical practice and remain attentive to the community to maintain responsible use.

Is the app useful even for an amateur photographer?

👉 Absolutely. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced photographer, WildlifePhotographer helps you organize, learn, and progress, while making each outing more efficient.

Are there regular updates?

👉 Yes! New features, species, interface improvements, and tools are added regularly, based on your feedback and the evolving needs in the field.
